Info from MPFS Covid-19 page:
Farmers to Families Food Box Program
What? Free food boxes, available to the public. The boxes are a mix of refrigerated produce, dairy and meat. Types of boxes available will vary at each site. They include high quality products sourced from local farmers and food industry partners.
Who? These food boxes are available to anyone in need. There is no income requirement and no ID required. You will only be asked for the number of individuals in your household.
How? As part of the federal government’s COVID-19 relief efforts, the Farmers to Families Food Box Program (FFFBP) was created to purchase these food boxes from regional producers. This program supports local farmers, food industry partners and our local food economies.
Why? To help feed our communities while supporting our farmers, ranchers and food industry during this difficult time.
Is it safe? Distributions will be socially distanced and “drive through.” Food boxes will be placed directly in your trunk. Volunteers will be wearing masks, sanitizing surfaces and taking necessary safety precautions.
