Quarterly Educational Events

Every quarter, from September to May, you are invited to join the Marion County Master Gardeners for an educational event. The event is generally held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Admission is free and refreshments are provided.

Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau
MCMGA provides speakers for civic organizations, garden clubs, neighborhood groups, senior centers, schools and other groups in Marion County. Speakers are available to cover a wide range of topics related to gardening.

All speakers are experienced Master Gardener volunteers who have completed the Master Gardener training through Oregon State University Extension.

If you would like a Master Gardener to speak at your meeting or event, we will work to find a speaker with expertise in your topic who is available on the date requested. To request a speaker, call 503-373- 3770 or email us at least three weeks ahead of your event. Be sure to include the information listed below. You will be contacted by an MCMGA representative by phone or email after we receive your request.

Master Gardeners speak as volunteers and cannot receive compensation for their time. Donations to MCMGA, however, are always welcome. If you wish to donate, please make your check payable to MCMGA and mail it to MCMGA, 1320 Capitol St NE Suite 110, Salem OR 97301.

Let's Garden

Marion County Master Gardeners™ are trained certified volunteers who promote the joy and science of home gardening in our community. We answer questions, teach workshops, provide speakers, maintain a demonstration garden, and connect home gardeners to the information they need. The Master Gardener program is sponsored by OSU Extension.
